Bob Claymier retired after teaching 35 years in the Delaware (OH) City Schools District primarily as a 6th grade math and science teacher. During the last 10 years of his career, Bob served as a technology education coordinator for the district, and became active in implementing integrated technological design and engineering activities in the district’s elementary schools.
Bob is now an elementary STEM integration consultant, with his own consulting service, STEM Is Elementary. He is a member of the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association, having served as president of the Children Council and also on the Board of Directors for the ITEEA (http://www.iteea.org). The Children’s Council (www.tecchome.org) promotes technology education for elementary schools throughout the United States. He is also a member of the Ohio Technology and Engineering Educators Association and serves as their elementary specialist. Bob has taught graduate level courses on children’s engineering at Kent State University and through an online course with Miami (of Ohio) University. He has conducted graduate level courses, workshops and presentations on elementary STEM integration at schools and conferences throughout the nation.
